Senior Men's Cricket
YPCC fields seven senior men’s teams, all in the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA).
Depending on the grade, teams play the majority of their matches on either a Saturday or Sunday. There are teams that only play one-day-games on Sundays. All matches are on turf wickets, and the vast majority of games are umpired by two well trained officials from the MCA.
Training during the season is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm. All players are required to train in the club’s blue training shirt, blue or black shorts or track pants.
Preseason training for the 2022-23 season commences on the 23rd of July. Details of the 2022 preseason schedule can be found here.
YPCC encourages young players to transition into senior cricketers. Our selection committee, coaches, captains and experienced players offer great opportunities and support to young players. Growing young cricketers into lifelong, confident senior cricketers is core to our club’s mission.
